A Goals-Based Planning Process for Today and Tomorrow

At Morse Wealth Management, we believe true financial freedom comes from economic self-sufficiency. Everyone has the potential to achieve financial independence when responsibly serving as good stewards of your available resources. To do so, we believe following a disciplined, consistent process based on proven financial principles is essential.

We believe long-term planning is difficult if you've not built your financial path on a strategic, goals-based process. Empowering our clients with wise financial guidance is important to us, and we thoughtfully consider each step to ensure your goals and your actions strategically align throughout every life chapter. We think our process is like a well-planned journey: Truly enjoying a destination requires more than choosing a location to visit. The most timeless, treasured adventures are built on a thoughtful roadmap efficiently guiding you through your desired plan of action.

Whether you are a pre-retiree or retiree looking to create a consistent income flow, or an individual or family wanting to protect the wealth you've acquired, we employ a strategic four-step process for every client:

  1. Understanding You — the Investor and Individual

We begin by openly discussing your current financial lifestyle and how your specific risk profile relates to your goals. While understanding you as an investor is important to us, we also pay particular attention to how well you and our professional team relate to one other. We believe an interactive and honest relationship is crucial for building a plan that accurately reflects your most important objectives.

Here, we’ll engage you in the following services:

    • Provide an initial discovery meeting.
    • Discuss your goals, needs and priorities.
    • Build your financial profiles based on your goals and objectives.
    • Gather current statements and financial documents.

  2. Creating Your Strategic Financial Roadmap

The next step is designed to create a shared vision of your financial story. At this point, we apply our goals-based planning to prepare an investment strategy that ensures all decisions reflect your specific objectives. We also create a tactical asset-allocation plan1 congruent with your financial goals and risk-tolerance level, and will consult with your other professional advisors — such as CPAs and attorneys — with your approval, as needed. Along the way, you will be encouraged to raise questions and confirm our interpretation of your financial goals.

Here, we'll engage you in the following services:

    • Disciplined goals-based planning using proprietary-firm technology.
    • Comprehensive investment planning and consulting.
    • Pre- and post-retirement planning.
    • Estate investment planning.
    • Education planning.

  3. Implementing the Journey

We believe every client's needs are different, and every strategy we recommend is custom-tailored to reflect your financial objectives. Before we implement your specific plan, we ensure you understand your course of action so you are comfortable with all aspects. Our team will work with you to review your investment policy and also pay particular attention to your suggested asset allocation. Our priority is to incorporate investments based on the asset classes and diversification that most appropriately reflect your specific goals. Upon your approval, we will implement the plan and keep you informed every step of the way.

Here, we'll engage you in the following services:

    • Providing investment strategies that may help reduce taxes.2
    • Employing an insurance-needs analysis for proper life, disability and long-term-care coverage.3
    • Asset management planning.
    • Cash management planning.
    • Tracking implementation.

  4. Proactive Communication for Ongoing Progress

As changes occur in the financial markets and your life, inevitably your financial objectives will also evolve. We regularly review your plan's progress in relationship to your goals and rebalance your portfolio's allocations, as needed. While proactive communication is essential, we also respect our client’s privacy and only contact you when there are specific matters to discuss. We will create and abide by your Service Commitment Agreement, which outlines your preferred methods and frequency of contact.

    Here, we'll engage you by:

    • Monitoring your portfolio's progress.
    • Providing any necessary updates and opportunities to your plan that directly impact your financial goals.
    • Offering timely insight on the markets and your portfolio.
    • Addressing any of your thoughts or questions that might arise.
